Please join us as we learn about Curbing Gun Violence in Schools: A Humanistic Mental Health Initiative from Dr. Cedric Wood, PhD, LPC! This is a CEU Zoom event on February 23, 2024 @ 11am-noon CST.

Gun Violence Within Our Schools Is A Growing Concern For Texas Residents. Dr. Wood Will Provide Gun Violence Statistics And Will Provide Humanistic Ways Counselors Can Help Curb Gun Violence Utilizing The Conflict Model. He Will Share How Counselors Can Be Involved In Advocacy Efforts To Prevent Gun Violence In Texas Schools.

Humanistic Sandtray Therapy (HST): A Creative Approach to Healing Webinar

We had a wonderful CE webinar presentation about HST by Dr. Ryan Foster, LPC-S, CHST on October 20, 2023. HST is a developmentally appropriate form of expressive arts counseling for clients nine years old or older. The presenter reviewed philosophical underpinnings of HST, basic skills of facilitating the processing phase of HST, and research surrounding sand therapies.
